LANDOWNERS BILL OF RIGHTS

The Private Real Property Rights Preservation Act represents a basic charter for the protection of private real property rights in Texas. The Act represents the Texas legislature's acknowledgment of the importance of protecting private real property interests. PRPRPA's purpose is to ensure that certain governmental entities take a "hard look" at their actions on private real property rights, and that those entities act according to the letter and spirit of the Act. PRPRPA is, in short, another instrument to ensure open and responsible government. TOBACCO FREE ZONE

All Winfield ISD facilities are a tobacco free zone.

Winfield ISD Student Code of Conduct states that students are prohibited at school and all school-related activities to possess or use tobacco products. Discipline will be designed to improve conduct and to encourage students to adhere to their responsibilities as members of the school community. Disciplinary action will draw on the professional judgment of teachers and administrators and on a range of discipline management techniques. Unless a specific discipline is required elsewhere in the Student Code of Conduct, discipline will be correlated to the seriousness of the offense, the student's age and grade level, the frequency of misbehavior, the student's attitude, the effect of the misconduct on the school environment, and statutory requirements. Because of these factors, discipline for a particular offense (unless otherwise specified by law) may bring into consideration varying techniques and responses.
