Ice Cream Sundae

Students in grades K – 8 at the Winfield Campus are working hard to turn their principal, Mr. Tony Martin, into a human ice cream sundae.
The students of Winfield have set a goal to read 1000 books by May in order to accomplish this awesome sacrifice by their principal. The students have read 651 books and it is only November!!!! Mr. Martin better be ready to be put in a bowl and covered with the student’s favorite ice cream sundae ingredients.
When Mr. Martin was first approached with this idea he gladly accepted. The students voted on three different activities for Mr. Martin to partake in. The choices were: To kiss a goat, to sleep on the roof of the school for one night, or to be made into a human ice cream sundae. My personal opinion is that Mr. Martin wanted to sleep on the roof. Mr. Martin had already stayed all night on a roof and jumped out of an airplane at other schools where he had worked. I believe this is the first time he will be turned into an ice cream sundae.
We are all very proud of the students so far, and we know they will meet their goal of 1000 books. Please encourage your children to read as much as possible at home!!
